Community Navigator

Second Chances program operating at 264 Second Street, Pittsfield, MA.

Duties, include, but are not limited to:

► Encouraging client participation upon release from incarceration
► Completing client intake forms and facilitating appropriate services
► Establish counseling relationships with clients
► Serving as a liaison between clients and community resources
► Providing transportation as needed
► Work collaboratively with other post release agencies

Qualifications:

► Patient, open-minded individual passionate about helping others
► Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
► Excellent written and verbal skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
► Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills
► Experience working with diverse populations
► Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work or related field preferred. Associate’s degree with a combination of training and experience will be considered. Preference to candidates with at least 2 years of case management experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Salary – $48,372.80/year. This is a grant funded position with MA State Employee benefits offered, including general paid vacation, sick and personal leave; health, life, dental and vision insurance; deferred compensation plan, Commonwealth of MA State Retirement Plan.
