Sheriff Bowler and the staff want to truly thank an amazing group of individuals that have answered the call to serve our beloved community of Berkshire County. These individuals dropped everything to assist a community in need for an event that they have trained for, but wished never would happen. They answered the call to assist a community that they may or may not call home, but home is where the heart is, and their heart was raised in Berkshire County! Today we want to thank the amazing men and women who are actively on scene in Great Barrington and the surrounding areas who are assisting with stopping a forest fire. Sheriff Bowler and members of the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office had the distinct honor of attending the Law Enforcement and Corrections Award Ceremony at the Massachusetts State House.On behalf of Second Street Second Chances, we are proud to announce that we were awarded Program of the Year.
