The Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office does not call people to solicit money and we do not threaten arrest over the phone. Also please be aware about scam IRS calls threatening arrest and scammers calling claiming your family members are in dire situations and need you to send cash, money orders or disclose credit card or bank account information over the phone. PLEASE…… do not give out any personal information over the telephone.
